Description:
I found that CDrom-upgrader that was supposed to stabilize the cdrom. It said to only install it if your cdrom was making loud noise. I guess I didn't realize that the sounds that it was making was a normal, fast cdrom drive. So I installed the software, and now my cdrom doesn't work. Is there a way to fix this? I'm stumped.

Hello Cydne and Welcome to No Wonder!

After making the CD Update install you need to restart your iMac. Try this if you haven't restarted system since the installation. Apple neglected to mention this as the last step of their install instructions.

Let me know if this works for you,
