Description:
When I upgraded from 7.6.1 to 8.1, my Monitor Bit Depth changed from Millions to Thousands and now I cannot get back to Millions (Thousands is the only option). VRAM is maxed out, monitor is 1024x768 and both of these were as before the upgrade. What's going on? Any ideas?

Hi Douglas and welcome to No Wonder!

You should be able to view millions of colours at 1024x768.

Have you zapped the PRAM?
Or trashed the Monitor and Sound preferences file?

Cheers
Andy Mitchell
