Description:
Help Me!!!-

I think I have a problem with my chooser. I have server volume icons on my desktop but there are more volumes that I need to get to. I go to the chooser, click on AppleShare and on the righthand side my server name appears under the words, "Select a file server." When I click on that server and say "ok" I freeze everytime! Can you tell me what's happening here? I can't get to any of the other server volumes. It's strange because it's happened really suddenly.

Thanks alot,
ammsun@aol.com

No Name,

What version of AppleShare client are you using? GOTO the System Folder/Extenstions, click on AppleShare and do a Command-I. There appears to be a problem if you are connecting to an AppleShare IP server. The following info was found on www.info.apple.com:

* If the Chooser freezes for 2 minutes when trying to connect to a TCP
server, use the AppleShare Client Setup utility (available on the AppleShare
IP website URL:) to reduce the
TCP Connect Timeout from 120 seconds to 20 seconds. Reducing the TCP
Connect Timeout may make connecting to AFP servers over the Internet
impossible.
