TICKET ARCHIVE -> computer freezes

OS Version: System 7.5.3
Description:
I installed system 7.5.3 off the internet and now it freezes up on me when i'm using earthlink network.It doesn't occur all the time but it does happen.I have run norton disc doctor on it and it's ok.please advise.

Bill,
My name is Cheryl and I will be helping you. First go to the Netscape folder and click once on the Netscape icon. No go to the file menu and select get info. At the bottom of that screen is preferred memory and you can change that manually. You need to allocate more memory so that you can surf the Earthlink site free from crashes and freezes. Give it a total of 9,000k and see how it works.
