i have an lt-winmodem which is supposed to be 115200bps, but i can't get a log in over 28800 bps, any special access numbers for high speed? or what do you recommend

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for using No Wonder! What is your modem rated 28.8? The 115200 that you see is the port speed, the speed at which the computer communicates with the port that the modem is connected to, not the actaul modem connection speed. Currently, the highest modem available is 56K with the phone lines limiting the speed to 53K at this time. Hope this helps.]
