I've installed Windows 98 on my Dell---which has a partitioned 4.3 Gig HD. Wwhen I try to convert the HDs to FAT 32, I get a "you are out of memory" message.

Hi Jim, welcome to NoWonder!

If your HD is empty then split your HD into TWO partitions (use FDISK to do this). This way, FAT32 converter will work much faster and using less memory. If your HD is not empty then try to free some space by deleting the unused files. Because FAT32 converter will try to "grab" a lot of clusters into the memory, then formatting and converting those sectors, and rewrite the memory contents into those sectors. So, Win98 will use a lot of space for it's virtual memory.

Hope this help.

Thanks for using NoWonder!
