I am trying to copy DVD's on my Powerbook G4. I am putting the DVD into my drive, copying it with a freeware program called Mac the Ripper, then trying to burn it to a blank DVD with another freeware program called Yuburner.

The copied DVD does NOT play in my Mac's DVD player for some reason, but it DOES play in my TV's dvd player. 2 questions:

1) Is there an easier or different way to burn these DVD's, especially encrypted ones, than using these 2 freeware programs?

2) Why do the DVD's I've copied using my present system play correctly on a regular DVD player but NOT on my Mac's DVD player?

Thank you for your help!

John,

Although we'd love to help you. Copying Movie DVD's, although allowed by fair-use policy of US Copyright code, we can't verify your ultimate motivation or desire, hence we refrain from answering questions which may partake in violation of US law.

Thanks.

While I understand your response, I assure you I have no "evil intentions." I created the original DVD's myself on my camcorder. They are movies of my dogs, cats, etc. and not copyrighted material. I am trying to make multiple copies of the DVD I created with my camcorder to send to friends. NOW can you please help me? Thanks!
