I have files in my Finder/Pictures folder that I can't delete the icons.
All fles are 0KB but it is impossible to moe to trash.
When I try the following message appears:
"Some of the items you are moving are in use by another application. Moving the items can cause problems with the application using them. Are you sure you want to move these items?"
What can i do?

Flavio,
What is the name of these files? What do the icons look like?
Have you tired quitting all programs, then trying to trash them?

Dear Cheryl:
The files are .JPEG
I had quit all programs.
I had had try to delete just at the computer start up.
Seem to me the files are blocked. Could be?
In this case, how to unlock them?
Thank you

Flavio,
I just had the same message come to me when trying to trash a file. This is what I had to do to get it in the trash and empty the trash.
First, click once on just one of those files, then go to the File Menu and select Get Info. Check to make sure the file is not locked. If the box next to locked is check marked, just click on the box to uncheck it.
Now look at the Ownership and permissions. It should say you are the owner and can read and write. If not, close the Get Info window, open the Utilities folder (in Applications) and start up Disk Utility.
When Disk Utility opens, click on the second hard drive icon in the side bar at the left, then make sure you are in First Aid tab, and click on Repair Permissions. Do not worry about what goes on in the activity screen.
When Disk Utility is done, Quit it, then drag those files to the trash.
Now, use the secure Empty trash to totally delete those files.
Let me know if this works. If not there is a Terminal command that will release those files and allow you to delete them.

Dear Cheryl:
I had tried your commands but I didn't succeed.
I had no ownership & permission. It is hidden.
The files are copy of the icons with 0KB.
I deleted the files in the past but the system stored the icons, I presume.
What is the command you have?
Thank you for your help.

Flavio,
I am not sure what you mean by It is hidden. In the Get info window, the Ownership and permissions section can expand. Just click on the arrow next to the words Ownership and permission.
By any chance did you use Tiger Cache Cleaner to clean out the cache files?
What is the name of these files/icons?

When I say it is hidden is because the window Ownership and Permissions doesnīt open.
I really donīt know to use the Tiger Cache Cleaner.
The name of files are "picture 1,2,3,...n.JPEG" size 0KB.
Thank you

Flavio,
It sounds like you need a permission repair.
Go to Applications>Utilities and start up Disk Utility.
When that opens, click on the second hard drive icon in the side bar at the left.
Now make sure you are in the First Aid tab, then click on Repair Permissions.
Repair drive at the right will be grayed out. Do not worry about that.
Once Repair Permissions is done, quit Disk Utility and try trashing those files.
