Hello, I am new to mac, only been on a mac for about 2.5 weeks now. In am running mac os 10.2.8 with firefox. How do I create a desktop short cut to a website?

Howdy!

I just figured this out myself and I'm on the same system you are and am using Firefox 1.0.7. Just grab the little icon just to the left of your URL in Firefox and drag it to your desktop and viola, a little "@ http" icon appears. Double click it and you go to the page. Sweet!

So why do you need to do this? Why not just use tabbed browsing or add the page to your Favorites?

LOL.Thank You so much. I worked on this for about 1.5 hours and copuld not figger out how to do this.I used windows for so long and I want to get a way from all the problems that comes with windows. I have a web site at http://safewebbrowsing.blogspot.com/
