TICKET ARCHIVE -> disaprg finder prefs

RAM: 32meg
RAM Enhancer: Ram Doubler 2.x
OS Version: MacOS 8.1

Description:
(Expert? Well, heavy user since M-128 days, but not programmer)

After I start up, I use Preferences on the Edit menu, in Finder, to set Font to Geneva 9, and Grid Spacing to Tight, and close the dialog box.

The next time I start up, Fontsize has returned to 10, and Spacing to Wide.

How can I convince my Mac to retain my preference settings?

Have you tried trashing the Finder preferences file?
