DESCRIPTION:

My fonts all have a green tint around them and are slightly
blurred-I have called tech support and they walked me through the display settings in the control panel, all to no
avail. I recently downloaded a couple of promgrams from
the internet. What can I do to get my display stabilized?

Hi Jerome, and Welcome to NoWonder- sorry for the delay in getting your geustion going! and- we were all new once! When tech support walked you through Display properties, did they tell you to put a check in a box labelled "font"smoothing"? If they didn't that might help- If they didn't, let me know and I can give you a step-by-step if you need it. Next- do you know how many colors your display is set to? Sometimes going up to 16 million colors makes all the difference, and you certainly have enough RAM to handle that without slowing anything down! You might want to go to one of many sites around (http://cnet.com is a good one) and download a program called tweaki that lets you change many of the user interface qualities, or Quickres, which lets you quickly swith between all the different display options available to you without having to reboot your computer every time- very handy indeed!
