My first probleme and it's the major one is that my computer keeps crashing almost all the time since i've install windows98 and it gets on my nerv because i'm on internet or any program and the computer shut down without any warning and after the reboot I have to reboot almost 3 to 4 time before the computer runs good.I've tried everything to fix that probleme but I'm out of ressource.

after the crash and the reboot, the message (windows98 as found a new hardware "cirrus logic 5446 pci" windows is installing the software for your new hardware.
can't you help me please fix that problene

Dear Richard.
first of all , run the win98 in safe mode and remove your display driver from the "control panel->system->device manager" leave no display driver in there
if and when it asks you to reboot choose "no" and go to the windows/inf directory.
there you will find sevral OEM files (oem*.inf) , view each and every one of these files and delete all the ones that you think are related to the cirrus logic display card and/or any other display card it might recognize , be carfuel not to delete any other OEM files !!.
Then reboot the computer and install the CL 5446 driver (you can get it from CL site), that sould do the trick.
