I'm using toaster titanium 5.5 on my G4 running OSX 10.2.8 to burn data files on DVD. The burning is OK, files could be read by PC and Mac, however, the mac files that have no extensions (.ai, .qxd , .fh10) does not showing the proper icons and could not be opened with the correct applications when being double clicked. What can I do?

Hi Ken
The Mac OS relies on the extensions to let the system know what application to use to open it, unless you tell it to using the Get Info window (Command-I on a file). Add the proper extensions before burning.

Hm...m, that make prefect sense, however, why could they be recognized perfectly when the files are kept in the harddisk without extenions named?

Ken
When you burn to CD/DVD, you need the extensions. When thet're on the hard drive, they've already been assigned the app to open with normally, not so on burned media.
