Description:
I would like to swap out my IDE drive in my PowerMac 5400 with a newer larger EIDE drive. Can EIDE be used in place of IDE?

Hello Shilo and Welcome to No Wonder!

From what I've been able to find, there shouldn't be any problem replacing your IDE for an EIDE drive. Just to be sure, check with the manufacturer of the drive you're planning to purchase.
