What a great site! I'm glad I found it. I just purchased my first Mac (used). It's been quite challenging trying to learn everything. My problem is emailing pics. The windows user I am sending to can't open the pic's, it has some code message with it, Mime something. I am using Mac OSX 10.0.3, I'm using isp.com, and i think I am using outlook express for mail. I,m not sure about anything here.
Thank you for any help!
Carol

Hi Carol
Unlikely you're using Outlook for email, it's an OS 9 application.
Let me know what email program you are using.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the fast reply. I clicked on "about mail" and it just says mail 1.0. Does that help?
Thanks,
Carol

The name of the email program you're using is 'Mail'. It's the email client Apple supplies with the system.
Version 1.0 is an older version. I'm not sue if this is available in this version of Mail, but look under the 'File Menu' for 'Attachmenst' and see if it has 'Windows Friendly Attachments'. If it does, use that when sending. Also, when sending to a PC user, make sure the file extension is on the end of the file name - (.jpg, .gif, .pdf, etc)
