Description:
I recently installed Eudora Pro 4.0 for Macintosh. Before
yesterday, I was able to send and receive messages. Yesterday, for some unknown reason, when I went to send an E-mail, I received this message:

"Error while sending mail for <>

I said Data and then the SMPT server said: 503 Need RCPT (recipient)."

To try and resolve this situation I tried to delete my settings and reinstall them and I still receive the same error message. I did not change any settings and do not know what to do to correct this. I am using Netscape Navigator mail program to write to you. Please tell me what to do to correct this problem. Thanks for your help! Jack

It sounds like a problem on the server end, however, check your settings in Eudora "Personalities" and be sure that you have the right configurations for the "Dominant" account. How many personalities do you have set up? If the Dominant SMPT mail server is experiencing technical difficulties, Eudora will give an error message.

Suggestion: If your Dominant settings are correct, and the problem persists, check with your ISP. You may, however, just need to wait awhile and check mail again later.
