Description:
Hi,After updating my OS 8.5 to 8.5.1 Now when i bootup an extension is crossed out you know"x" It's some type of script looking thingy??? My computer is running fine.I went into my system folder and then into my extensions folder and took the big script out and put it into the trash (did not throw it away) And at the next bootup it as usual wasn't there but i noticed that my Quicktime extension icon didn't load.I then just put in the script back where it belongs and the extension at bootup still is crossed out"x"???? why?? I just don't understand
why.Please let me know.I talked to someone else with the similiar problem and they said,They just threw it out.I don't want to do this for i'm afraid i might screw up something else in my system thanks very much Bernie Aguilar Torrance ca

Hi Bernie, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
Go into the Extension folder and do a GET INFO on this Extension. Drag it to the trash. Put your OS 8.5 CD in, get that Extension off that CD and drag it into your Extension Folder and restart. See if this corrects the problem.
