RAM Enhancer: Ram Doubler 1.x
OS Version: System 7.5.3
Description:
The performa came with internal modem. The modem port is covered up. How can I, if possible, install a faster internal or preferrably an external modem using the modem port.

Hi Joseph and welcome to No Wonder!
To use an external modem with your model of mac you will have to remove the internal modem first.
Pull out the motherboard and remove the internal modem then prise off the plastic cap over the modem port.
