DESCRIPTION:

My computer comes fat16.I now have Windows98 which supports fat32.I want to convert to fat32.That's the easy part, because I can also do that with Partition Magic.

If something happens and I have to format my hard drive the systems software that comes with my computer will only load on fat16 partitions.

How do I convert fat32 partitions to fat16 partitions using fdisk.

So far no one can answer me,and I have been unable to find the answer anywhere.

Hi Paul,

When you reformat the drive back to fat16, the entire drive contents will be erased.
You will have to reinstall everything from scratch, including Windows 98 if you want to convert back to fat16.

Hope this helps and thanks for using No Wonder!
