Description:
I am often experiencing a freeze up when I go to "save as" from my AOL list mail. I will highlight what I want to save, click on reply, then either try to save to hardrive with simple text or just "save as". I have increased memory for AOL and Simple Text but still experience frequent freezes. I had this problem with OS 8.0 and hoped it would go away with OS 8.5.1, but no such luck. BTW, I was looking for my clip board, thinking to use that instead, but it seems to have disappeared when I installed OS8.5.1. Any thoughts on this?

Well... I'm using AOL and OS 8.5.1, without any problems.
A few things you could try.
1. Make sure you have the correct Modem selected in the modem control panel and the AOL Setup window.
2. Trash the FINDER preferences and reboot.
3. Delete the AOL preferences (but you will loose all your favorite places, favorites, etc). and relaunch AOL.
If that doesn't work, write back to me and let me know what version of AOL are you using, and how much memory do you have allocated (minimum and preferred)?, as well as the type of modem you have in your computer and the modem drivers (I think in the 6500 you have either the Geoport or the Global Village modem.
