Description:
I've had intermittent problems with my Mac. When I ran OS8's CDROM First Aid it told me I had two problems.

1.) Vol Bit Map needs minor repair, 0,0
2.) Master Directory Block needs minor repair, 1,0

First Aid would not let me repair this. What can I do?

(I first submitted this ques. thru MacHome on Labor Day and got message "value for user name too long in line 70. Not hearing, I tried again for message 149374 and got same problem so I shortened my first name from Gary to G. to see if that works. Quite frustrating!)

Hi Gary, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
Sorry about the problems getting to us. Nowonder went through a server change and the system wasn't operating too good for a few days.
For your problem, you need a disk utility program to make the repairs.
The ones I use are TechToolPro and Norton's Utilities. Either one of these will repair the problems. I prefer TechToolPro.
