Description:
A floppy disk got stuck in the a: drive. When I pulled it out, the metal clip from the disk stayed stuck in there. Now I can't use my floppy drive at all. Can I fix this myself?

Hi, my name is Jeff Lighthall from No Wonder Free Tech Support. Thank you for using our service. When a disk is stuck in the floppy drive stick a staightened out paper clip into the tiny hole beside the drive. This should get it out, never grab onto the disk with anything and force it out. If the metal shutter is still stuck in there you may have to take it to a service center and have it removed. If you are intent on doing it yourself I have an idea. **WARNING** I have never tried this. I am not sure if it will work. I would not want to be held responsible for any damages which may occur. I would try the paper clip trick while holding the computer up on its end and let gravity do the work. Hopefully this will dislodge the shutter and it will fall out. I hope this helps, keep me posted on whether or not it works:-)
