OS VERSION: Windows 95

DESCRIPTION:
Hi
I'm using Windows 95 and using 3 1/2 inch floppy as a "A" Drive and 5 1/4 for B drive in CMOS set up.
but in the Windows, My computer folder, it listed reverse.
How can I correct this problem?
eg,
I can use 1.44MB disk in A drive as it is, but when I try to format a floppy it is considered as a 1.22 5 1/4 floppy.
Please, inform me.
Hi DongSoo,
Thanks for using No Wonder! This should be a fairly simple problem to fix. First, go into your CMOS setup and verify once more that Floppy 1 is the 3.5" and Floppy 2 is the 5.25".. Then, look for a setting that is somethin like "Reverse floppy drive order". Make sure it is disabled or unchecked. Finally, if that fails, turn off the computer and open the case. Inspect the connections on your floppy drive ribbon. Since you have a 5.25" drive, I'm assuming your ribbon has both types of connectors (pin and slot). Look at the ribbon cable carefully. There should be a place where some middle wires are twisted around. This twist should be between the two sets of connectors. The connector(s) afrer this twist must be connected to the drive you want as your A: drive. The connector(s) before the twist are for your B: drive. Note that you CANNOT have two drives connected on the same side of the twist! I don't know what would happen if you did but I'd rather not find out... See the diagram below! Good luck!
