TICKET ARCHIVE -> Font Book Issues From Panther to Tiger

I am trying to get all my fonts the same - from my desktop computer with OS 10.3.9 to my laptop with Tiger. I've tried transferring using my Font Book and dragging in fonts from other files. Most of them do not copy into the Tiger font book. Is it because they are true type or postscript or fonts from OS9 leftover that may be currupt? Please help me...I'm so frustrated.

Hi! I've dealt with a lot of FontBook/Font issues for Tiger…
You need to first copy all your fonts as you would any other files, from one computer to the other. Put this font folder where you can remember its location. In Panther you had to put FontBook fonts in the Sytem Folder, but in Tiger you just have to link to a folder and add it to your library (within fontbook) and then "enable" fonts.
