TICKET ARCHIVE -> G4 Cube Shuts Off

Hello I need major help I have a g4 cube 500mhz, I have the newest firmware update. when I turn it on it will go to slep after a few seconds of use then turns on and then off and then shuts off. I checked the apple wedsite and everything is firm on not loose. what do I need to replace??? I tried the hard drive but everything is good there/ Any help??? PLEASE

Hi,
I repaired a cube once that had these symtoms.
The problem is the sensor-power-switch - it is or becomes very unstable. If you have the 15" Apple-LCD-Screen connected - that switch is the same.
I did disable both switches in the hardware by pulling the cables. That healed everything. The computer had to be turned on using the keyboard.
Maybe that hepls you.
