I installed from MacHome's October CD: GoMac and Kaleidoscope. I now cannot get my syquest cartridge out of it's drive. I received a message saying: "PC Exchange Message SCSI ID 4 already has an active drive. PC Exchange will not load a driver for this device. You may have comflicting system extensions that is trying to support this drive, consult your manual for details."
When I tried to install my Mac OS 8 CD in my external drive I got this message:"Caution:CD-ROM Toolkit noticed incorrect CD-ROM mastering, and partitions were interpreted as using '512 byte' offsets despite the 'Drive Descriptor Map Block' specifying using a larger physical size. Consult the CD-ROM's publisher if problems result.

Hi Mike, welcome to Nowonder, I'm robertw.
I would start with the base set of extensions, make sure these are on;
€Apple CD-ROM
€Apple Photo Access (if you plan to use Kodak Photo CDs)
€Foreign File Access
€High Sierra File Access
€ISO 9660 File Access
€Audio CD Access
and see if you can access your CD. I kind of doubt you will. If not, you're going to have to initialize your drive and reinstall the system software. After that, DON'T use any MacHome CD's. There have been a lot of problems reported with them.
