Description:
When I view the hard drive window as large icons, it will not scroll (it shows about 16 of the 62 files). If I set it to view by list, it scrolls just fine. What is wrong?

Hello Paul,

I would suggest updating your Operating System from OS 8 to 8.1. It is free and can be dowloaded from the Mac web site. There were numerous defects in the initial OS 8.0 and that might be contributing to the situation.

See if that helps.

You might also go to the Preferences Folder and trash the FINDER PREFERENCES, then re-boot you Mac. But, while you are doing it, make sure to re-build your desktop by holding down your OPTION key and COMMAND key when you re-boot. That should be done with regularity since you are never aware of how dis-arrayed your dekstop can get. It can affect many operations adversely if you don't do it regularly.
