Description:
Every so often when I open the Hard Drive window, all my folders are in different places. I did not move them, nor did I change how they are to be viewed. This has also happened to my Dad. I thought he moved them or did something weird. He said no and now it has happened to me several times. It is annoying. Thanks for your help

Hello Nancy and Welcome to No Wonder!

I've never heard of anything that would cause folders to move on their own. Any chance you dad is moving things around and forgetting? Or perhaps using the "Clean up window" or "Snap to grid" features?

Short of that, all I can offer is the basic rebuild your desktop and zap your PRAM.

Let me know if you figure it out,

Kristina
