KNOWLEDGE LEVEL: Beginner

PROBLEM: Software
COMPUTER TYPE: Gateway
MODEL: ?
RAM: 32meg
OS VERSION: Windows 95
SERVICE PACK: ?

DESCRIPTION:

Somebody gave my mom a Wintel & it's hard drive is partioned into 2 seperate drives: C & D. There is not enough free space to install Windows 98 into C. How do I delete drive D? I launched DriveSpace hoping to delete drive D and it says I can't cuz it's not compressed or vice versa. I attempted & aborted to compress/decompress drive D but it would have taken an hour or more & there was a dialog box saying the computer would then create a drive H to put all the compressed files?
I don't want this - I want to restore the computer to it's original config. w/ just drive C. I don't have the restore disks that came w/ this computer as it's a second hand. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Hello and thank you for using No Wonder!

Sorry, but the only way to do that is by using Partition Magic or equivalent.
You'll have to backup first, move all valuable data from D: some other place, start Partition Magic, delete the D: drive and extend the C: drive to use the entire harddisk.
