Hi,

I got a new HP LJ 1320n printer for my iMac (Mac OSX 10.4.8).
I had connected the printer to the iMac via USB. Unfortunately
I haven't been able to get it to print at all. The message
I keep getting is "Jobs Stopped".

I have tried the following, all without any luck.
1) Uninstalled and reinstalled the print drivers from HP.
2) Reinstalled the print drivers from the installation discs that come with the iMac.
3) "Reset printing system" within Print Center Utility.

I could get this printer to work alright from my iBook
(PowerPC G3, Mac OSX 10.2.8), although the duplex mode
did not work.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Aja

Hi Bobw,

Thanks for the tip. I tried it out --- i.e. tried opening the print center utility with Rosetta --- couple of times. No luck. I also turned the Rosetta option
for the installer and tried re-installing the HP drivers and
tried to get the printer to work. No luck.

I cannot understand what could be going wrong. What is
frustrating is that the printer works alright --- plug and play nearly --- with my old iBook (10.2.8). So cabling, etc.
couldn't possibly be the issue.

Best,
Dilip

I'll re-open the ticket. Maybe another Tech will have some thoughts.

Here's the current (universal) drivers for OS X

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...&swEnvOID=2072

This version, being universal, should not need the rosetta trick.
The 1320n model has an ethernet port. Have you tried connecting through that?

Hi Dale,

Thanks for the tip. I installed the above driver. No luck. Just to rule out the possibility, I got a new cable from RadioShack and tried that as well. No luck. Unfortunately
I haven't been able to check out the connection through
the ethernet.

Best,
Dilip
