TICKET ARCHIVE -> I've Been Hacked Or Got a Trojan That Wont Go Away!!!!!

First I'de like to say thanks for the awesome support you all provide. I get lots of helpfull info from your pages. Well, my problem is this...I downloaded something using Bittorrent a while ago. After I downloaded the small app, I noticed my Network Ball in the Mycomputer part in the finder changed shape. It turned into a giant folder. I clicked on it and it wouldn't open. Then all of a sudden, finder restarted itself. All of a sudden and very subtly, things started acting strange. Apps would crash more often, when I click on the network ball in finder, I get 3 empty folders( library, system, users). Anyway, other things led me to believe that my computer was serving folders on my computer without my permission. So what I did was erase and re-install. Things would be fine for a couple of days, then the network ball would start acting strange again. I have my firewall up to the hilt but I can't seem to get things running consistant. I decided to get ClamXav. When I choose a folder to scan, the Network ball that's comes up when you click on the computer in the sidebar of finder doesn't even show up. The network ball in the sidebar of finder does though. It just seems that the network ball IN the sidebar is one thing but the one that comes up when you click on the computer icon in sidebar is ANOTHER. Hopefully this makes sense. I have pics if need be. PLEASE HELP, I WANT MY COMPUTER BACK!!! I'm using an iBook G3 using TIGER. Thanks ~ DERELICT

Hi Derek-
This isn't something that someone here can give instructions to make go away. I think you're best off by making at appointment at the 'genius bar' at an apple retail store and let them see it. They can tell quickly if it's atrojan or corruption and then what to do about it.
