and I need to configure my computer's personal firewall so that it can't be downloaded again.....

About LW, just remove its folder and trash it; normally the shared folder is within this folder;
Before doing this, check if you have an iTunes Limewire playlist: it points to the shared folder; clean it

That's it? There isn't any residual crap in my utilities, or hidden in other folders.
How about configuring the MacosX firewill to keep p2p software out forever?
And thanks, that was very quick....

No.. perhaps a preference file in your /Library/Preferences but without any danger
That's the system used to uninstall on macOsx
And that's also why I would prefer LW to other P2P pgm which install daemons on your machine
About the settings of the firewall, I have no experiences, so I repool the question

I think this page which is on the Apple support site will help:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.h...en/mh1042.html
Adminstering the firewall is really pretty easy. You will note that they make explicit reference to file sharing services.
To really portect your computer, you need to have an account or accounts for everyone else that uses it which are not administrator accounts. That way they couldn't change the firewall settings on you. So even if the program were downloaded it wouldn't work.
After you set up those other accounts, change your own logon, and don't tell your kids (I am assuming they are the problem) what the password is. Also, hide the OS X system disks, so that the machine can't be booted up by someone else with them, because they could reset the accounts. Just remember where you put them.
