Hi
My iBook G3 needs a new Logic Board and I've managed to source a used one. The problem is the only information the vendor can provide is the Apple part-number and no information on compatibility.
Do you know which part numbers would fit an iBook G3? Its a 700 MHz model but I assumed that I can fit any G3 logic board as long as its for a 14' model?
Thanks
Ahmed

Hi ahmed
apple's logic board part number is 661-1766 for the 700mhz model.
the 800mhz is 661-1772 and 661-2691
the 900mhz is 661-2892

Thanks for your help Bob. I was just wondering if you could confirm whether or not I have to buy a 700MHz logic board, or can I choose any logic board that is for a 14 inch model? Could I go so far as buying a G4 logic board or would that not work?
Thanks Again
Ahmed

Would this one fit my 700 mhz ibook?
part no: 661-2992?

Ahmed
This logic board (661-2992) will only fit in the 12-inch iBook G4.
I have no way of knowing if any 14' board would work in your machine.
