Hello:
I'm new to Windows 98, as I just moved over from a MAC.
I would appreciate your help in how to do a very basic
move.
When I first turn on the computer, the Desktop appears.
(even before pressing the START button).
On the Desktop are a few icons (like for setting up the MSN network, and one on Networks I'd like to move someplace else, e.g., under PROGRAMS, as I don't need them now, and would like to un-clutter the Desktop.
I can't seem to do this. The OS either won't let me place them under PROGRAMS, or a Shortcut icon still remains on the Desktop.
How do I do it?
One other question if I might: Is there any way with a US Robotics Modem to have the modem connection to the internet dropped when an incoming call comes in? I'd rather take the call, and then just re-dial?
Thanks a lot for your time,

Dear Bob,
for your first question: right click on the desktop -> arrange icons -> uncheck the arrange auto.
there are sevral icons (the system icons) that you cannot move or delete.
and for the taskbar - right click on it and choose prop. , the check the auto hide.
