Problem: No Problem

Model: PowerMac G3 266/MT
RAM: 65+
RAM Enhancer: None
OS Version: MacOS 8.1

Description:
This is more of a question than a problem. Under previous versions of Internet explorer (3.0), I could find files in my cache folder; jpeg, gif, html, etc. But in Internet Explorer 4.01 I can't find these individual files. Does this version save files to cache a different way or am I just looking in the wrong place? I looked in MS internet cache only to find cache.waf file, which shows nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, I don't have that problem in Navigator, but I fell in love with IE's ability to save files as web archives.

Yes, IE 4.01 does save files differently than IE 3.0 or Netscape does. It compresses the cache into the cache.waf file. If you get info on the document, you will see that it is the size of the cache limitation you set in IE. As far as IE or Netscape, as you progress into the Internet more and more, you will see that IE is much more limited the Netscape is. Good luck and have fun!
