Hello:
I am new to Mac OS X and I am trying to install Mac OS X 10.3.5 [that came bundled with my G5 system] on a Powerbook G3 400 MHz "Pismo" which has Mac OS 9.2.2.
When I launch the installer by restarting the System to boot from the CD drive, the installer starts but then it exits by displaying a message "Bundled Software cannot be installed on this machine".
Can someone please help me get around this issue.
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Chitraang
Thanks Bob for quick reply.
So now If I want to install Mac OS X Panther/Tiger on this G3 powerbook whats the best and safest approach you would suggest.
Thanks in advance !!

You would need to get the retail version or either Panther or Tiger.
To install on your machine, the drive will have to be partitioned if it's larger than 8GB. You have to install OS X on the first partition, and it has to be less than 8GB on this machine.
You may also need a third party program to get it installed, but I would try without it first. If you do need the program, it's here;
