while trying to delete songs from my itunes library i must have done something that effects choosing music when creating slideshow with iphoto i can't choose my music for my sideshow like i could before i tried to delete songs from library. Can i restore music choices (all i get now is the default music) without re-installing program?
Denis,
Thanks for choosing MacOSX.com's free tech support!
Your question is slightly confusing. Are you saying that when you select songs from your library for a slideshow, they are greyed out and not selectable, or that you can't see songs to select at all?
Give us an idea of what is happening and we'll try to help.

propably a simple solution to my problem. Before I deleted some songs from my library I could choose music to accompany my slideshow, I was fairly simple and needed to just click on option and could choose from song library or accept some generic default , now the clik option (looked like a gear) doesn't show up while making slideshow and no matter where I search I can't find any way to choose music and only defalt music plays (gets old fast).
i hope i explained better.
when deleting songs from library i inadvertantly deleted whole library however i found all the songs in a music folder.
I'm not really sure what I did, since i blunder around and am a novice to apple.
Basically the function to choose music is gone from the slideshow creation obtion. I still can change effects for slide show but the option to pick or change music dissapeared from this page
I have tried for considerable time to fix this on my own as i know on the scale of things a minor problem, but i'm stubborn and can't reat until i resolve this problem
thx for your attention
Denis,
If you accidentally deleted your library, recreate it (sans playlists unfortunately) by dragging and dropping all the music from the folder onto iTunes. Then your options will return. Good luck!
