I was trying to upload an iPhoto folder to Snapfish.com
In the process - I did something to the iPhoto settings. My photos can no longer be seen. They all appear as grey rectangles in the library - and the folder. The information is there - as in key word, date, file size - but there are no photos...

Any ideas how I can fix this?

Martha,
Could try first to repair the iPhoto database by following the rebuild procedure described in
http://homepage.mac.com/butlers/iPho...or/rebuild.htm

This article is a very helpfull article for solving damage libraries in iPhoto

Hope this helps and please post back whatever it succeeds or not.
Regards
Phil

Hi - Thanks for your help. Somehow - something else happened and I couldn't even find that original iPhoto library. Fortunately, I HAD backed up the library - so all is not lost. I figured it was easier/faster to just import them and begin to organize them from scratch.

Thanks tho -

Martha,
I must admit that after having undergone two crashes of my iPhoto2 small library (less than 200 photos)...and will be forced to manual re-import them....fortunately I have a backup... I decide to switch to iViewMedia:
http://www.iview-multimedia.com/products/index.php

Well, a friend of mine switching from Mac to PC gave me its license, but I think that the basic product (compare to the 'Pro' release) is a very good folder.

As all my photos are on CDs, the great advantage of iView is that it does not make a copy of the photos when cataloguing a CD

If you search for a tool be able to handles several iPhoto libraries, esaily swithing from one to another, and plus:
