Description:
Sometimes on startup I find a folder in the trash labeled "Rescued Items From Macintosh HD". Sometimes (rarely) I can find where they came from and put them back. What causes this and will it affect the application they came from?

Hi Kenneth and welcome to No Wonder!

This usually happens after a crash.
It is remains of memory which the application has used and is saved to disk incase it is needed.
Netscape has a bug in it where it reguarly leaves items in the trash in a folder called nscomm40.

You have nothing to worry about.

Cheers
Andy Mitchell
