Bob,

In Windows 98 if you use the ctrl-alt-del key combination you should not reboot unless you have frozen up and do it more than once. What should happen is that you get a dialog box showing you the programs you have open. Open programs can be closed one at a time from this box. This is a very useful tool and one I don't think can (or should be disabled).
