I have a PB G4 OSX 10.4.6 which has the Keyboard.prefPane version 3.1
The new MacBook and MacBook Pro with OSX 10.4.6 have the Keyboard.prefPane version 3.1.3 which has the nice additional trackpad feature of the secondary double finger tap giving the control click functionality.

The question is: would this preference pane work on a PowerBook G4? If yes how is it possible to get the file? I read, I think somewhere on the Apple web site, that the feature is purely software not hardware.

Thanks
Ivan

Unfortunatly you can't simply transfer the file that handles the prefrence pane, it would be nice but we can't. You would also need drivers, which actually are doing all the new work for the MacBooks. If someone were to write a driver for older macs, and somehow fool the prefPane to work with an older mac thenyou could get it. You can get driver replacements for regular iBooks and PowerBooks right now for free, that allow some of those movements though. Check out http://www-users.kawo2.rwth-aachen.d...fazz/iscroll2/

If this isnt' what you wanted, please repsond and I'll help you further.
