While trying to make a backup of my copy of "It's A Wonderful Life" MTR quits/crashes. I had a similar problem with "Legend of Drunken Master", but was able to work around this by deactivating pre-scanning. This fix doesn't work for my current problem though.

Hi Jonathan,

If you are not experiencing any other issues with DVDs (ie that they play in dvd player, mount ok etc) I suspect your problem is with the application itself. It is shareware and one can't expect the level of reliability one gets with bought software. I suggest you look to more specific forums. I can't say I have experience with this software myself so I shall place your question back in the tech pool, just in case there is a tech who has experienced your problem.

You may like to consider looking at other ripping apps. I'm sure google will bring up a few suggestions.

May I also suggest that you provide info regarding your computer model, OS version, connected devices, etc.

Try trashing this prefewrence file;

com.Geezerbuttz.mtr.plist

Make sure you have the latest version of MTR - v2.6.6
