Hi,

I wonder if there is a workaround for Apple Mail.app on Tiger to deal with IMAP4 SSL server through the firewall? Proxy / Socks 3rd party tools ???

It looks like there is no built-in proxy support at all, but anyway... Would be really great if somebody can point me to some useful liks... Thanks in advance

Mikhail

Have you setup proxies in Network preferences?

Yes, of course, I have set up web/ftp/socks proxies as well as the automatic proxy configuration per URL - no success only with Mail.app. Safari does work. I could get Mozilla Thunderbird to work using its proxy preferences, but no luck with Mail.app.

Do you have this email account set in Mail to use SSL?

I tried normal IMAP4 account as well - my AOL aim.com imap account uses 143 port and Courer-based STARTLS account (993 port). Both don't work.
