Running Tiger. New IMac flat panel...140 gig avail hard disk space...700 megs of RAM.
The mail application is driving me crazy. I set up three pop accounts and mailboxes to go with them. I have lost track of how many problems I have had and what they were exactly.
But the current problem is that I have a mailbox (I thought I had deleted it) called Rockcreekcreative. (A client of mine.) It shows I have 8 emails in there and when I open it, its empty. When I go to the server, there are no new e-mails associated with this account. It seems to be counting e-mails that I send...let me know if I need to be a little clearer about all this. Maybe what you should tell me is how I can start from scratch without losing any emails in the process.
thanks!
Richard

Wow, one of the strangest problems I have heard of

Why dont you try hugging the Mac and telling it you love it.

HAHA just kidding

I will get back to you shortly with an email export process so you can start fresh

I kind of wondered if you were new. The line about hugging my Mac gave you away. I really appreciate you coming back to try and make things right. I have to say that I hate Microsoft but that entourage blows away the apple mail app...It flawlessly imported my account info and is working like a dream...
cheers,

I definetely agree with you on that, I use it as well because my college has an exchange server so I use to check my email, the only reason I really use Mail is for my .mac system

Anyway the "hugging your mac" was a bit of humor for you (I feel that a little humor makes the client feel better and less tense about the matter at hand)

Anyway I hope that should I be assisting you in the future that you find me more helpful

P.S. Is your problem solved or is it still not working cause if you were able to fix it then that is awsome and I will close the ticket...

Thanks for the reply,

Hi Jeremie,
I know you were just using a little humor...I actually enjoyed it, got a kick out of it...Anyway, close the ticket. I'm only going to use for the .mac acct as you do.
