DESCRIPTION:

I am getting an error "mprex.exe" which I think is due to the
HP Deskjet Admin software. I am not able to reboot my system.
Could u please inform me about the error & what could be done about it.

Jay,

I was on the Windows 95 launch Team and here is a resolve for your situation. I just resolved the exact same situation two days ago.

First you need to restart your computer and when It says "Starting Windows 95" press F8. Then go to a dos prompt. Type cd windows and press enter. Then type deltree temp and answer Y for yes and press Then run scandisk and then exit after it is completed. Reboot your system and again press F8 when it says "starting Windows 95" Then go to safe mode. Answer the question saying you are in safe mode so you will be in safe mode. You will have "Safe Mode" in all four corners of your monitor. Then go to Start-Shutdown-restart your computer. Then go into NORMAL mode and you will see that your error will go away.... happy computing!!
