Description:
Among the help choices in Microsoft Office 98 for the Macintosh (Word, for example) is "Help on the Web." When selected, it automatically launches MS Explorer. How can I have Netscape Navigator be the default browser launched? I am using a Power Mac G3, minitower, 266, 4 GB.

Hello Keith and Welcome to No Wonder!

Microsoft has made it very difficult to use a browser other than their own for obvious reasons. Have you tried having Netscape open before using the "Help on the Web" feature? If so and it still launches IE, have you tried moving IE from your Hard Disk to the trash? Applications can't launch from the trash, so that might force it to search for another browser. If that works, I'd go ahead and get rid of IE altogether, assuming you don't use it for anything else.

Let me know if this helps,

Kristina
