KNOWLEDGE LEVEL: Intermediate

PROBLEM: Software
COMPUTER TYPE: IBM
MODEL: Aptiva L31
RAM: Not related
OS VERSION: Windows 95
SERVICE PACK: IE4.01 SP1

DESCRIPTION:

In reference to previous question (15074) I have
narrowed the problem down to this: Whenever I open ANY drive thru the My Computer window, the accessed drive data REPLACES the data in the My Computer window instead of
opening a separate window for the accessed drive data and
leaving the My Computer window in place, which explains
why the accessed drive data is always a small image.

Any suggestions why this might be happening? Thank you

Hi Jack

Double click on My Computer in the Menu Bar choose View\Folder Options. Of the 3 choices at the bottom choose Custom then click the Settings button. Under Browse folders as follows, check Open each folder in it's own window. Click the OK's until all window options menu are closed and now each window will have own.
