TICKET ARCHIVE -> No modem under 8.1

Description:
Have asked this before. Still have the problem. After upgrading from 7.5.5 to 8.1, I cannot connect with my internal modem (GeoPort, 32600K). Have reinstalled 8.1 a couple of times, repaired a couple of minor errors with Disk FirstAid, and reconfigured everything, but still no connection. (I am sending this by reverting to 7.5.5, but the connection has dropped to 14400.) Under 8.1, my ClarisEmail connection returns a -3205 error. Since the modem works under 7.5.5, I assume that this a software problem, but I'm stuck.

Hi David and welcome to No Wonder!

Do you have the OS8CD and separte 8.1 update or the full OS8.1CD?

Whichever disk, insert it in the drive and go here:
CD-->CD Extras-->Apple Telecom--> Geoport/Express Modems
then run the modem installer.
