TICKET ARCHIVE -> Norton Internet Sec.

Hi Bob, i bought 10.4 today and installed it , so far so good.
now norton internet sec. doesn't work fine with me too.
i read the artikel on norton web site.
now i whant to uninstall the crab, no way .
i quit the programms and still doesn't work.
now i took the folder and moved it to the trash
erased it and still there and still can't get rid of the programm by using the cd rom from norton and press uninstall.
any tip to kill the programm forever

Hi Mike

Open the Activity Monitor in your Utility folder and see if anything related to Norton's is running. You can Quit that process from the toolbar on that window.

Then, look in the Accounts PreferencePane under the Startup Items tab and see if Nortons is there. If so, delete it. Highlight the name and click the minus button ('-').

Then, do a Find on your system for Nortons and trash anything you find.

Dear Bob , great work again !!!
everything is gone, by the way norton has a new tool to remove all the files but without your help this would have never worked.
I really like my mac, but no one can help me really in the area of switzerland were i live.

Anyway great job and i learn alot through this site.
