For some reason everytime I open up Outlook 98, it disconnects me from the internet. In my settings I have the box for hang up after mail is sent, unchecked. I have no idea why every time I open up outlook it disconnects me from the net.

Steven:

Perhaps you have selected in Outlook a RAS connection and then use another to connect to Internet.

If you have this, when Outlook starts and try to get your mail, it discovers you're using other connection and it hangs to use his own connection.

Check this in Options under the 'phone access' (sorry i'm using a foreign version and don't know the real name of tab, the upper-center one...)

Hope this solve your problem. If not, don't hesitate to contact me or repeat the query in NoWonder so someone can give more advice.

Regards.
